November 12th, 2023, 11AM to 9PM
54   Rue Jacob, 75006 Paris, Galerie Géraldine Banier

On Sunday, November 12th, independent Ukrainian collective Spilka
is honored to invite you to our exhibition and charity print sale “Lens of Innocence”.

Joint show features 45 works by 25 young photographers mostly from Ukraine, but also representing US, France, Germany and UK.
All works were created in Ukraine in between 2014 and 2023.

This show reflects on the everyday life of Ukrainian kids. Even in a war zone, kids are just still being kids. Despite the turbulence of war, Ukrainian kids are finding a place for entertainment, play, enjoying nature, and spending time together with each other. They are our guardians of joy and the biggest believers in Ukraine’s bright future.

In contrast to the conventional expectations associated with a charity show, Spilka creators have adeptly fashioned an environment characterised by an ambiance of joy, dreamlike hues, and the comforting embrace of home. This exhibition evokes the sensation of a refreshing dip in a lake on a summer Sunday, a slow afternoon spent with friends, or a visit to one's grandmother's residence beyond the city limits. This show is a gateway to a bygone era of simpler, carefree days in our childhood, where responsibilities were absent, and we were sheltered by the guidance of adults.
